Obedience - Demo CS (2016)

Old school hardcore-punk band based in Austin, Texas. Obedience are all about nurturing love towards good ol' fashioned American hardcore. This tape contains six hard punches in the face brought to you by members of Breakout, Signal Lost, Severed Head of State, Dead Nation, Splitting Headache and Dave from legendary Tear It Up on vocals duties!

Nandas - Demo (2014) & S/T 7" (2016)

Recent primitive raw punk addition to the roster of Toxic State Records from NYC.

Nandas are female fronted gang of mutated punks heavily into barbaric stomps, distorted trashy guitar sound, raspy whispering vocals and generally dreadful sound. Essential like everything Toxic State puts out!

For fans of Nog Watt, early Rudi Peni singles, Wretched, european hardcore and Nandas nyc contemporaries like Crazy Spirit, Dawn of Humans, Hank Wood etc.

V/A "Richmond Burning Compilation" CS (2014)

Cassette-only mixtape of newer bands from Richmond, Virginia, compiled by Feel It! Records. Features tracks from Slugz, Animal Planet, the Nervous Ticks, Diamond Hairbrush, Omega Boys, Christi, Asylum, Atrocious Kontrol, Cretins, Barge and two songs from the aborted Southside Stranglers LP session. This is pretty intense selection of some of the most exciting hardcore and garage punk bands from Richmond even thought I must admit, at first I only tracked this one for unreleased Southside Stranglers stuff. Was worth it!

Klaus - Demo CS [2015]

Not sure if I would file this under mutant punk, garage punk or uk82 inspired punk as the label suggests, but this is pretty cool! Four tracks delivered from two people who live on the opposite sides of the world. One is aussie punk named Jon from Prag and Helta Skelta and the other one is Drew from the USA who usually records and releases his Reatards influenced garage punk under the moniker Sick Thoughts.

Liquids - Demo CS [2015]

New band featuring members from The Coneheads, Big Zit and Pukeoid. Eight tracks of raw and primitive straightforward USHC worship with some garage rock hooks thrown in the mix, especially on the B side. Somehow this tape brings to mind bands like Reagan Youth and Ill Repute...Cool stuff!

Generacion Suicida - Todo Termina 12" [2015]

Latest release on Doomtown Records is european press of second 12" from Generacion Suicida from South Central, Los Angeles.

Press info:

"This time around the group brings 9 tracks of their powerful trademark sound. They play melodic, angular and catchy punk with oscillating male/female vocals creating a serrated edge of paranoia and anxiety of a modern day LA."

"This is real punk; rudimentary and raw but not in a dumb way; this is eloquent and it sounds like it coulda come out of LA in 1979 or just plain yesterday. They sing solely in Spanish and remind of bands from other countries, mainly Umea, Sweden; in the Ny Vag tradition of The Vicious and Masshysteri or Copenhagen's Gorilla Angreb and No Hope For The Kids which sort of bring the sound back home to California because those Scandinavians borrowed heavily from Los Angeles’s past (late ‘70s Dangerhouse, especially). But this is not a ripoff band, not some knock off, not some imitation, not a homage or retro dress up party, this is what the group does best."

"On this new 12" GS sped it up; playing it even more blistering fast and melodic, almost sounding in places like a kind of melancholic take on pogo punk. Essential."

Ruleta Rusa - Aquí No Es 12" [2013]

Highly energetic, mid-tempo and catchy punk featuring Peligro Social, Born/Dead and Los Monjo members. Like mentioned Peligro Social and Los Monjo, RR plays classic Eskorbuto style punk mixed with some more rocked out USHC influences not unlike Gang Green  or Annihilation Time.

You can buy both vinyl and tape version of this record here.

Nuclear Spring - Live On WFMU's Distort New Jersey [2013]

Pretty decent live session Brooklyn's Nuclear Spring recorded live on WFMU's Distort New Jersey radio show. Nine infectious political punk anthems including at the time one unreleased track called In The New Regime (this one later ended on Maximum Rocknroll's compilation called Sound The Alarms). I won't bother you much with describing how great this band is cause I've been raving about them earlier.

I found one copy of their final 7" in the storage the other day. This is the last copy from the label till it's sold out. You can get it here.

Haute Couture - Demo 7" [2012]

USHC worship featuring Autistic Youth (PDX) drummer and Youth Avoiders guitarist Maxime. Somehow this slipped under my radar but this is some pretty good slab of retro hardcore. The 6-song demo was recorded while AY drummer was living in the France and eventually Shogun put this one out.

Big Zit - Demo CS [2013]

Straight up early era Bad Brains worship from outta Chicago, Illinois. Even the singer sound like a pissed off baby H.R. Killer stuff, so, if you like Brains while they were playing hardcore you need to hear this.
